I know what you’re thinking. “I’ve seen this photo already”. But you haven’t. Because not only did we see Ratatat last weekend at LoretoFest, but again this weekend at a small club in the Dong Khoi district. I couldn’t sneak into this one so it blew the budget a bit but was totally worth it. We recreated the previous photo with the band in the background partly to let you folks know what we’re up to and partly to rub it in Brian and Rob’s faces. Sorry guys, wish you were here.

What are the chances that one of your favorite American bands just happens to end up in Ho Chi Minh City? Pretty good apparently! After years of working in the music business and becoming relatively numb to becoming starstruck, I LOST MY SHIT for Ratatat. As Jen said, we got to go backstage, meet the band, and take your totally lame photo. I was like a 12 year old pining for Nick Carter. Ratatat, I love you. If you ever wanna make out, let me know. Yeah, we’re the girls that left our business cards all over your equipment.

The audio engineering nerd part of me trying to figure out Ratatat's setup...

Evan Mast, you hold a very dear place in my heart.
Last week, we heard about a music festival coming to Ho Chi Minh called Loretofest with headliners Ratatat. We pretty much all shit ourselves as Ratatat is a Jet Set Zero favourite. So last night, Kris, Serene and I managed to see them live from the front row AND meet the band after. I can now die happy, I touched 50% of Ratatat.
To Brian and Rob, it’s a crying shame you missed out. :)

Front row! That's Ratatat on stage behind us.
