Hot off the presses, bucket list #2:  Appear on the Italian news.

A week in Italian for the youngest Italian Children

Ok, so technically we’re not on the news, we’re in the news, and technically our names aren’t in the article, nor does it mention anything about how freaking cool Jet Set Zero is.  But last week our faces made it into Arezzo’s Nuovo Coriere Aretino newspaper.  That sort of counts for a bucket list win.   I’m on the far left holding the stars and stripes and Lynne’s on the far right, stuck holding the English flag.  Seems Scotlish pride was cut from the budget this year.

We’re not giving up on this BL item yet.  Sarah and Perrin are shaking things up at a nunnery in Salerno, while Lynne and I are stalking jornalists in Nettuno.  If all else fails, we may just have to sneak into Rai.  Stay close.

Check out this week’s How I Travel feature on one of my favorite travel sites, Bootsnall.  I love their description of Jet Set Zero:  ”Think Real World but with travel & culture filling in for all the fake drama.”   Sweet!

Last week, I challenged James– a local DJ with TBS FM Radio– to a simple contest. Go to a crowded Seoul street and stand with a sign that reads “Slap Me”. Whoever accumulates the most slaps wins the challenge. Now, having only a shameful 15 minutes of tape, I had to work fast, accumulating only 23 slaps total. Did James do better? Listen to TBS’ live webcast to find out. Here’s the video, with more footage after the cut.

Last week, we jumped into the Seoul Podcast for a chat with it’s wonderful and dongshim-tastic hosts. Check out our panel appearance at the Seoul Podcast website.

Also, this evening, I will follow up on last Friday’s challenge, where I dared TBS FM’s James to stand in a crowded Seoul district with a sign reading “Slap Me” [mp3- challenge starts half-way in]. The catch? I had to do it too. Be sure to listen to Seoul’s TBS FM live webcast at 5:10PM (Seoul time) and 1:10AM (Pacific Time) to hear the results. You can also come back here at that time to watch the videos, including some extra footage.
