Going Away Party in L.A.

1) He loves to wear his fedora. (I think it’s his favorite accessory)

2) His laugh is really loud, and when I hear it, it makes me laugh even harder.

3) He has a ton of awesome friends conveniently planted around the world.

4) He has a serious knack for adventure. (Ten Points)

5) His mom is hilarious. I love that lady!

Factory Party in Saigon

It was a last minute thing, but we are spontaneous girls. We got a message about a factory party happening in District 4, so naturally, we were up for it. Serene and I checked it out and unfortunately, it wasn’t as totally awesome as we imagined it to be. The DJing was a bit weak, the sound system had its problems, the bathrooms were nasty, and the drinks were expensive…but, hell, it’s what you make of it. Serene and I shook our booties, batted our eyelashes at a few boys, and completely blew the budget for the day. Oh, and apparently “factory parties” are held in “garages” here. But now I’m just splitting hairs. All in all, I would consider the evening a success. And it gave Serene and I yet another opportunity to eat street food at 3am. Here’s a peek at what a factory party looks like in Vietnam:

A Jet Set Zero Missed Connection

I am proud to announce that I am the first member of Jet Set Zero to have a missed connection.

Two weeks ago we threw a party at our house and at that party there was an absolutely gorgeous man there. We chatted very, very briefly. Unfortunately when you have nearly 100 guests at your place, 96 of whom you’ve never met before you tend to get busy chatting with people and names slip through the crack. So now I am on a quest to find my male ‘Cinderella.’

Party Like a Rockstar

Last night we decided to throw a party with fairly low expectations. See, our friend Öykü was going to invite her friends for what we expected to be a medium-sized party. At the last minute, she couldn’t round up very many people so I put a short post on CouchSurfing.com for the hell of it and we invited everyone we could find at a bar in Taksim. We thought we’d be eating cookies on the floor.

At around 3am Saturday, with all of our neighbors shouting obscenities at our crowded balcony, the Turkish police came knocking. Pictures after the cut.
