Prior to this whole JS0 thing I had never had roommates, lived on campus in a dorm or ever shared a living space with anyone other than a girlfriend or my family ever before. Moving into an apartment in Quito and living with 4 other strangers under one roof was an adventure in and of itself.  I loved the experience and got to meet some pretty amazing people that I will never forget.  Here is a little bit on my friend Laurene. She is an interesting person and I’m sure you will love her just as much as we all do.

1. She is someone you can count on thick or thin.  I’ve never met anyone so reliable and dependable in my life. Great roommate/travel buddy/buddy.

2. If you are lost, not to worry as she is always armed with a map. She will find the way. She always knows where she is going which is why we love her.

3. She is an awesome cook.  I miss coming home to our apartment and smelling the delicious things she would whip up for dinner.  Seriously, our kitchen was run by a gourmet chef.

4. She is always up for adventure.  Being on the road can be tiring sometimes but if there is adventure in the air, then you can count on L being up for it.

5. Great roommate.  Super responsible, neat, quiet and always up for a chat.  If she ever answers your Craigslist ad, count your lucky stars.

6. Has an insatiable hunger for getting to know the local culture whenever and wherever she travels.  She is passionate about getting to the bottom of things and makes every effort to explore her surroundings.

7. She has a lust for life/travel/adventure that is absolutely inspiring. This unique blend of characteristics makes her one of the most interesting people you will ever come across.
