		<description>I&#039;ll never forget my trip to China at age nine with my family for many reasons, one of the most prominent being how numerous adults in China asked to take a photograph of or with me. I&#039;m not even blond, but many of them had never seen a Westerner in the flesh before and were fascinated. My parents thought it was adorable, and years later it&#039;s still a little funny to think about how random people in China have pictures of the nine-year-old version of me.
