QUITO
THAILAND

It’s so nice to know that whenever I begin to miss Turkey, I can walk about 20 meters down the street and feel right at home.  I find this photo particularly odd considering there isn’t exactly a large Turkish influence in this country.  But hey, I’ll roll with it.

This is a sorry excuse for doner kebab. You could try Mumtaz Indian Restaurant down the street.

There is a small Turkish community in Saigon now. They run several schools here. I had some Turkish food with them last weekend.

Welcome to Saigon. A year ago Rob was here.

Thanks for the recommendation! Although I’m a bit burned out on kebabs in general from Turkey, I’ll make sure to check it out once the craving comes back.
I had no idea that there was a Turkish community in Saigon, although I’m beginning to learn 20 new things every day here.
If you ever want to go out for dinner or anything, let us know. We’re always looking to meet new friends!
