Amazing Coincidence by Rob on September 14, 2009

Last seen in January
Eight months later, Chris found my sticker.
More amazing still, as I sat in Jen’s office in Sultanahmet today, his email arrived in my inbox. I was telling Jen the story when I followed a link to his website to find his most recent entry about visiting Calgary, Alberta (Jen’s hometown).
Even more amazing than that: one of the pictures in the frontpage photo array is an image of Jen’s office building.
Yeah. Seriously.
So to Chris– thanks for tracking us down, and whether you wanted to or not, you’ve shared a very personal moment in my story.

The Under-loved Overpass
I always beleve things happen for a reason. The person who found your sticker is my son – he’s a pretty amazing guy who finds beauty in the most unusual places. I hope you get to meet him one day – we’ll be in Istanbul in about 2 weeks; who knows?
This is pretty wild– we will certainly be in Istanbul when you all come out. Drop us a line and we’ll meet for coffee in Taksim!
I also agree, for the record. Our lives lately have been too full of great and spooky coincidences for it not to have some meaning.
Can you tell I grew up in a hippy town?
This is pretty nuts. The world manages to bring people together in strange ways.
Rob is a hippie.
Hey folks. I thought it was pretty nuts that I got an email back from these guys, especially when I just happened to stumble across your stick here. Pretty damn cool. Although I do admit, it was one hell of a walk from Tama Plaza to Kajigaya!!!
Hah. I still find these up all over the Pioneer Valley. Awesome.
