This way home.

In Saigon the city entered a state of lockdown at 10:30 PM every night.  Windows were shuttered, the streets were emptied and heavy metal gates were drawn across every door.  In Tokyo, it works… differently.  Tokyo has an amazing subway system with a simple catch, if you go out to a bar, club, or restaurant, you either catch the last train home around midnight or you find a way to entertain yourself and stay warm until morning. Essential every night out is a 12 am night or a 7 am night.   In our continuing search for Christmas spirit in Japan we found ourselves in the midst of another 7 am night at a new location boasting a “Christmas party”.  The party involved no discernible signs of Christmas, but as always hours of new friends, whiskey and soda, good music and very little sleep.
