If the internet in the United States were a racehorse, the internet in Vietnam would be a lobotomized, one-eyed donkey with three legs. When it works, it works painfully slowly — say 20 minutes to load gmail. When it doesn’t work, there isn’t a webpage on the internet small enough to make it to your screen in under an hour. For this reason, we have lost more than a few of our posts, which are now buried in a thought graveyard somewhere in the mist. Some of the top adventures lost amidst the tangled Saigon wiring: the beatiful sky and sudden monsoons, HDR shots of Pham Ngu Lao, reflections on teaching, and the first version of this post.
We will do our best to update given the impossible conditions, but just know that for each successful post, we take two drinks. One for us, and one for our posts in the grave.

Really? I get some great speeds at my house. Just move around the backpacker area until you find a wifi access point with some good speeds
